it Not necessary to flash, if sky Italy generally down at moment everywhere
rest of channels working fine for me and I not want to loose all my things on my box after flashing
at moment sky Germany working, when sky Germany dark I will flash

but perhaps soon I can update online easy my box without usb , or not ?

Yes it will flaSH IT.

Backup your channel settings and then import them back.

if you have no channel list scanned @dferran then Flash it already you loose nothing .
if you want your channels saved then save on USB before flashing it is not rocket science after all : )

i imagine eventually all boxes will get upgraded to server 1.43
no need to loose hope even my very old Starsat 2000HD Hyper got 2 updates this year after nothing for 2 years : )

and now no Way to watch sky Italy , we have to wait , right ?

but ferret says me that with file V 2.14 upgrade to 1.43 sky Italy working at moment !

but no problem I have legally Abo for sky Italy and uk !
and rest I have on dreambox and for Germany I have a lot of channels here freetv in Switzerland and at moment sky Germany still working for me 75% on viark

I only need viark almostly for biss-Updates and for nova Greece and SK slowenia
if you Promis that biss updates and nova Greece will everytime working,
also with older software and firmware so I change nothing !

by the way: if I will flash my box in some days , if all becoming wronger
and perhaps nova Greece will close ,
please say me step by step how to Save all my 8000 channels on box
and put them back on box, thanks for help

yes sir for Viark Sat 4K i hope also PowerVU since it already works on GT Media boxes .
i think even Server 1.44 is being tested so perhaps might get updated to that instead .

Recently my Viark Sat 4K had an issue I do not understand.
Attempting to update to the latest PT, the box seems to update, but after reboot it goes in a booting loop, and I must perform the recovery operation to unlock it and recover.
So, I load the official firmware renamed in update.bin, then PT one also renamed in update.bin, and after last reboot the box starts with reset asking for the language, video mode and so on.
It happened today updating to PT 1.18 too. But also some week ago updating to 1.17 and earlier.
It did not happen at the beginning with my first PT updates last year.
Obviously every time I'm able to recover, and I saved channel list and database, so it is not difficult but it is very annoying.
Did you know what could be the reason of this problem? Thanks.

Well exactly the same thing happened to me.
I upgraded from 1.16 to 1.17 over the air and a few days later box was stuck in boot mode.ferret kindly sent the instructions to hard reset it.
Must have been corrupted file as all is good again.

Insert USB into box
Menu -> USB - LOOK For Back up Channel list should be color button
click okay wait for channel list to save
then goto S/W Update in box menu load latest V 2.14
wait for box to reboot .
after goto USB select your list should be named extension .sdx or similar click to load 20 secs and your all done
Sky IT , Nova GR and BISS AU will be working just fine .

where is your problem ?? always use most recent S/W whenever there is an update available
look how many members on this topic would love to see update for their boxes : )
