Well exactly the same thing happened to me.
I upgraded from 1.16 to 1.17 over the air and a few days later box was stuck in boot mode.ferret kindly sent the instructions to hard reset it.
Must have been corrupted file as all is good again.
How did you make a hard reset?
Maybe you just read it was suggested a reset to me, too. But I thought it was a reset from the box menu. Which reset you made? Thanks.

hello francescone i power on the box same time as pressing the power button on the front of the box and using the original software on usb stick renamed update.bin i put older original firmware on then latest original firmware followed by pt 1.17 and have recently upgraded to the latest firmware and all is ok.
I think it was probably a corrupt file on the update as the viark is solid again.

Yes I made this too. But I did not reset the box prior to upgrade to PT 1.18 and probably this was my mistake.
So, original firmware, then reset, then PT 1.18.
I will make this at the next update. Thanks.

Does anyone know if when you update the drs2 online do you first put the original firmware back on the box before loading the latest firmware to get 1.43 server.
I usually update via USB but that option not available at the moment and I'd like tnt sports back.

You can run the update directly no need to put the original firmware on first.

Can I just add as hopefully helpful information. I have the Viark Sat, Sat 4k and DROI.
I have just successfully updated all three boxes via OTA update as indicated by @Ferret and @raul7.

The only thing I forgot to do was backup my channel list so lost that and had to rescan and reconfigure.
My fault.

Now that all three are using server 143, it looks great. However, I have noticed that the IPTV list on the
Viark Sat is only a third of the size of the list on the Viark Sat 4k and the DROI. The latter IPTV is tremendous
and quite unbelievable.

Well done to the Viark Team for providing regular and outstanding updates.
