I have never heard of that happening.
Perhaps flashing the original s/w then the PT s/w might fix it, if you are lucky.

Yeah I have that off, just started today. Wondering if it's overheating. Completely random . Was happening every couple of minutes but then I've had it on for approx 30 minutes before it has went off again

What about backing up your channels list and reflashing the box. It does not take much to do?

Id start with a factory resest reflash firmware and go from there.
Backup your channel list first.
I hope that what Ferret has suggested works out for you but I have a feeling that there's more to it.
No mate haven't yet, flying out to Spain tomorrow, so I will try it when I come back. Factory reset do I lose my sp1? Do I just factory reset, flash the latest SW and try it again.

cheers, what i did try which seems to have sort it for now, ill keep an eye on it. APD settings, originally, i disabled the setting and any sleep setting. Didnt want the box going to sleep. With the HDMI CEC update. it seems to have caused my jbl 9.1 issues when the box goes to sleep. The jbl would stop working , the tv wouldn't route sound to it. The viark that was causing the issue. . When the box was disconnected, the jbl worked perfectly.Ok mate have a good holiday
Anyway with the APD setting set to 4 hours, the box doesnt seem to have an issue, but if it happens again, Ive got my channel list backed up and have downloaded the 1.15 FW. Whne it is factory reset. Does it reset to factory firmware or to firmware currently installed 1.15?

Are you saying you want the viark to stop turning the tv off. If yes play with the hdmi-cec settings.

Not sure exactly but below is an snippet of the channels open on the mars server which is similar to forever but on mars it does not show as opening.
