clearing all keys never made no difference with last firmware 2.20 (oct 31 2023) display biss found ok but incorrect key was showed.even when correct key was inserted by me it still was looking for biss key message appeared on screen.no such problems with viark drs2

i used the viark sat for finding biss in the past was great but couldnt relay on it with last firmware so hope new firmware released will be back to its old self.i have new viark sat also not yet activated

I have had no issues on biss auto update on my viark sat, which is strange if you have had issues.

Cheers Manic01 i will factory reset and load latest firmware back on with my channel list and see if it finds feed on 23.5E atm

1.9e clears as does albertis
Forever channels are yellow for me.

Have checked again and obviously yes they are yellow. When i posted for some reason must have been thinking about the much maligned TMM4 as a i think they had them as green when they were available for
a very short while.

As others have pointed out brilliant to have pv in menu and especially biss au did a test with Ou on 13e and for me took a little while but did clear. Its easy to criticise stuff that have not been added which
like others i can be guilty of so i think a bit off praise is due when things do become available. As ive said only just set the receiver up so im really pleased with whats available on it now.

You told me yesterday before i put the file on to disable Ch Max first, just out of interest what was the reason for that also what does Ch Max menu do and should i change any settings in it from the factory
ones? Thanks.

i also had this issue and what i found to fix it was just delete all the existing keys and boom it worked

I wish they had fixed the EPG issue in this new firmware.
Fed up with just having now and next.

My viark sat biss au problem still persists after down grade to old firmware factory resetting before and after firmwares installing latest firmware. biss update ok message appears with wrong key.after 5-10 minutes it clears with correct key.then i loaded my saved channel list into box went to channel which had cleared and again its back to encrypted with wrong key.

My only hope is to get a viark sat hd (not 4k) original firmware zip file for usb.

All looks to be updating on 7E ok.So i'm going to start from scratch with new motorised channel list to keep things tidy lol. i think firmwares going in out of receiver messed up biss files.

If you factory reset after updates before setting it up you should not get these types of issues.

The biss update ok message appearing with wrong key started a few firmware versions ago and the having to delete all biss keys in viark sat i think is a make shift solution but works.i hope they have new firmware sorted for biss au that worked great before we had to delete all biss keys every time which is not great going from 1 feed to another for me lol

Last night i was going to go to put 1.9e in my scanned in sat list but when i went to antenna configuaration-sat list i noticied this sat was not in the preset list. I saw i could add a satellite but does
anyone know if its possible to edit a sat in that list for example 70.5e in the list to 1.9e i tried to edit it but as far as i can see only lets you change the channel name as what i am asking is how do you change the satellite position
in the edit menu using this method as when the box comes up to edit only shows channel name and not in brackets the sat position. My mind is just blank at the moment trying to figure it out.
Apologises for a very winded question to probably a very simple solution but was not sure how else to explain it.

I can't see how to edit existing data other than name
You can add sat easy enough, BulgariaSat (1.9E) is in my list any way?
Press ok button
Scroll across to Add
Press Add
You can now add sat angle e/w ku/c
Press ok to store info
Move to where you want it stored

Thanks @manic01. Glad it was not just me really strange that there is not an option to change sat position in preset list this is only receiver i have used where this option is missing.
Will use the add satellite option to add 1.9e and then put in transponders etc and go to its position and from what you told me looks like one of the more interesting sats for this receiver..

You can change the sat position in the list by going to Antenna Config, press on Satellite, scroll right to Move, press Ok enter new position for selected sat.

I thought he wanted to physically edit what it says ie change 70E to 1.9E in the sat details etc, I think he knows how to move where it is on the list. I thought when he said position he meant sat degree, as he was talking about changing 70E to 1.9E, Unless I have misunderstood him
