mostly the error from servers which are out my control

No problems betweeb dreambox blackhole and TSpanel 5.6
upload crashlog to see where is the error
i do not have vu+du to test vu+ image
what image do you have mate ? if baste pli you have to take backup

Yes I have image openpli. with version 5.8 all good, but last 6.1 need correct...

Your right you dont need it but it is handy to have
Oh and much more than cams too, as i say very handy, i usually install what i want from it then remove it to preserve space.
TSpanel like market for android you can find your dreambox software among
-more than five online servers
-servers of image teams(openpli,newnigma,merlin,oozoon)
-dreamboxupdates
search function is available also just put the name or part of the name of the plugin and the TSpanel will get it to you
but TSpanel is not store for plugins only but has many tools you may need them to tune your dreambox
-edit your satellites,transponders and update satellite xml
-manage cams if the image missed this feature
-manage swap,scripts,crons,screenshots,lost password,wrong date...
-image backup and settings backup

TS-Panel is in my opinion one of the best apps to be released for E2 boxes. As well as all the download panels, it has a great file browser built in, and the disassemble to bytecode is a fantastic feature that's really handy for looking at how some of the python stuff works.
