Update image

Hi,I was given a dreambox 800 hd from a friend and I want to update the image but I don't know if it is a clone or an original,the image at the moment is openpi 2011 so I don't know what image to put on,any help on this please

Take the lid off and look at the sim in the bottom right hand corner. Describe it and we can yell you what you have.

The SIM card is white and says in corner A2P with some resin glue fixed,cand read the writing under cover to the left of sim.

You have an original dm800 flash with original images.

the last original openpli2.1 released for ur original dm800hd is here , u can just flash it with ur IE browser

To flash the above you will need to flash the latest ssl before the image. Transfer the ipk to the tmp folder by FTP then install via software manager Menu-plugin-software manager.

for any latest OE2.0 images be sure u flashed ssl84 first , then flash ur image , here is the latest openatv 4.2 oe2.0 for ur original dm800hd download here

Yes, as Brummie said. Unzipp and send ipk via browser and don`t restart, just, via browser again, send the image you want. SSL is just a few seconds, sometimes we don`t "see" it going to the dreambox

yes if your receiver is booting ok that file Ferret mentions is an IPK file, like he said unzip and ftp it to TMP then manually install,if you got an NFI version you could flash it through your web browser

i was looking for 84.nfi for u , but could find it , the only availble thing is .ipk , where it is not risky or dont feal fear , here is what u have to do

, send secondstage.ipk to /tmp , by DCC write down & send telnet command to execute ipk

opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk

or this old command as i dont know what is architecture currently

ipkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk

then switch off box & on again while pressing front button so u can go to IE flash mode while u can see ur ip displayed

from IE browser just write down that ip u see in box front lcd panel then hit enter & now upload & flash any of those image i posted earlier , then wait til it finish & say reboot on webpage , then reboot & u r having now new image with ssl 84 & thats it

Use this mate and flash by browser its the nfi version then the image

hello mate I uploaded file but had to put the openpli by fankoosh,the openatv 4.2 said file invalid, but want to try the openatv don't know why it said that.
