Two Questions about Barry Allen

Hello Friends,

Decided to try Barry Allen instead of MeoBoot for a change.
My setup is DM800se with ICVS image on the internal flash (Ferrari Sim)

Installed BA on the Flash.
BA recognized and Installed the images of intrest on the external media.
The installed images show up nicely when I reboot the box.

Problem1
Cannot sellect any image to boot from the BA screen.
Tried the number in front of each image and the arrows without much luck.
I can boot into any image using the BA from the plugin menu but not from the start screen.


Problem2
When intalling the imges using MeoBoot al the channel lists and antenna setup is copied from the original image automatically.
This is not the case with BA. I have to setup each image from scratch

Is there a way to do this with BA like MeoBoot?

Hi mate

Unresponsive remote on the splash screen usually means the remote maps not compatible.Im not in front of mine to be exact but this can be changed in the settings. Now which level map you need im not sure about. Its been cover here on SU but there are so many BA threads you'll need to do some searching.

Again im sure there is a setting in BA to use your flash images settings etc, i never bother set them up individually.

You can always use software manager to backup your settings on the flash image and transfer them to the BA images you have installed now.

1.Go to: -settings about barry allen-boot options-settings remote-and then choose the 3rd option (/dev/input/event0)
and you will change your image from the boot screen

2.Evey time you install a new image is like you install it in flash (new settings etc...)
Its better this way because you can install ANY image you want!
Barry allen uses only the drivers and the seconstage loader from the flash!
Barry allen is great plugin i use it almost 2 years!

About your second question how to restore your settings in any new installed image in ΒΑ
Boot at flash image where is all your settings
Go to BA plugin menu and then to Wizard for Tools and you ll see the option to backup your enigma2 settings
Under this option is also the restore them
So once you have backup them, then in any new image you just restore them

Many thanks for the useful tip.
I will try it with next image.
I sent the list to the external flash image using DreamSet.​

I was searching for this info - cool!

One should install BA from Ferrari Addons Manager, non? I mean, to be compatible with a Ferrari clone...

So, there is latest Meoboot also compatible with Ferrari?

Correct gorski,
Just install the Ferrari addon Manager then install BA from the plugin.
The BA version is not the latest but it works.

Meoboot is also there but I did not try it.
I read that it does not work with Nemesis image on Ferrari.
Maybe you can try it and let us know.​

Thanx!

Just moved countries, so it will be a while before I can try anything of the sort... Once my equipment is here, however... ;)

Had the same problem. Now I can change the booting image in the BA screen. Thank you m8.
