From what I remember, there were a few tricks people use to deploy, like doing the commands really quickly...

It's been a while, I can't remember now but I tried compiling it here as best I could, if memory serves, so read it all, in the thread?

Thanks again stuff.hunter for following up and helping.
It seems that the power supply is different than the one posted. All I see is a four wire connection from psu to the motherboard.
I am eliminating the PSU being damaged. cooling fan usually restart after booting.

I will post the MB of this receiver model (look at the upper right corner where the wiring of the PSU.
-------------
Again I can not get it to respond to the CTRL+C.?
What will be my next step? if I may ask

oooouch, my bad yours is premium+ :)
well, try to unplug this white plug and reconnect ..heard about loose connections causing problems ...when unplugged check voltage between one black and both red wires and post results, not sure about correct voltage (yet:) ill try to ring more info) but my guess there is 12v and 24V...so fan spinning at start might show 12v rail working when 24v is dead ...
anyways, reed bad things about premium+ PSUs - those with 'green lights inside" :)

....btw, are you sure yours TTL converter is RS232<>TTL ? mean bidirectional ??

EDIT: well, was right about voltage :) there is 12/24v on three pins : 24v on two and 12v on third , not sure about order:) so there (in your box) should be three coloured wires+one black (ground) , can you post inside picture of yours box (PSU connection only)

had a look at mouser.com but there is many cables :) have you part or catalogue number by any chance :)

ok, found it :
Mouser Part No: 895-TTL-232R-5V-WE
Manufacturer Part No TTL-232R-5V-WE
well, cable seem to be ok (5v) unless yours is 3v so there might be problem with putty's settings (and -or PSU problem which prevent to proper communication between pc and box)

Hiya Dawnman,
any luck?

I live in a small town west of Saudi Arabia and could not find the right place to check the PSU because my voltometr is not working good and worried that I will short the receiver. This evening, I will go to a shop ( I was told it is good)where I can check that and see if they can make a wiring that will connect a serial port to the receiver. I still have an old PC with a serial port:D
-------
Thanks again for your concern & have a happy holiday.:thum:
-----------
I could also get any additional support for the CTRL +C issue from gorski and you. Thank you both:)

I think it's down to being stubborn and not faint-hearted and keep trying to do it as fast as possible, until you get it working, really...

Failing that - professionals should do it...

Best of luck!

What, you know someone is Saudi Arabia? :D

It's a bit cost-ineffective to send it to Croatia or Ukraine, isn't it? :D

You are right, sending it to Croatia or Ukraine is not a good idea. Going there is not bad at all. The only bad part is the snow & cold. I was never equipped with this type of gear in Saudi Arabia. :D

----------
I tested the power supply, it is working fine. POWER is OK.
-----------

I did what I could, I am running out of ideas but not giving up. :mecry:
-----------

Thanks all for helping, and please help again.
--------
BTW Johnny64, I sent a PM regarding the flash memeory chip and waiting for the reply

And the impossible is possible, in this case, when you schedule a tutorial solution is replacement, and for me after 7 months of searching came to a success, if the distance problem, it is not, these chips are from China, arrive in 10 days, I'll check that for Saudi Arabia as a hobby and hour friendship!
