In your router/modem RESERVE a local home network IP address for your AZ (and any other device), so each IP address of each device is connected to its unique MAC address. Every router has that function, to my knowledge...

In that case you will know which address it is, every time.

Switch off DHCP, that is...

If not, use specific SW (Network mappers/IP scanners?) to find out which devices are allocated which IP addresses...

Good luck!

 Advanced IP Scanner Key Features:

 Fast network scanning

With Advanced IP Scanner, you can scan hundreds of IP addresses simultaneously at high speed. The software scans ports of network computers and finds HTTP, HTTPS, FTP and shared folders. Scan your network (including Wi-Fi network) to get more information about all connected devices including computers' names and MAC-addresses. Integration with Radmin remote access software

Advanced IP Scanner and Radmin remote control software are deeply integrated. IP Scanner lets you scan your network, find all computers running Radmin Server, and connect to any one of them with one click. The free Radmin Viewer needs to be installed on your PC for you to access a remote machine running Radmin Server. With Radmin, you can access the remote PC in Full Control, File Transfer, and Telnet modes. Remote PC Shutdown

This shuts down any remote machine or group of machines running a Windows operating system. You can use your default access rights or specify a login and password for shutdown. This feature is very handy for system administrators since it enables all computers in a customized list to be turned off in a single operation at the end of the working day. Wake-On-LAN

You can wake any machine or group of machines remotely using Advanced IP Scanner if the machines' network cards support the "Wake-On-LAN" feature. Simple and user-friendly interface

Advanced IP Scanner has a simple, user-friendly interface. For simpler batch operations, it lets you save a list of computers to be scanned in a Favorites list. Advanced IP Scanner will automatically load your Favorites at startup. You then can choose whether to scan your entire network or just the computers in the Favorites list.Download

Hello,
My AZBOX HD PREMIUM + got stuck on booting after trying to restore the original firmware after upgrading kernel and installing a new image.
To recover, I used USB connection and used putty following procedure but when hitting CTRL+C, I can not get to terminate. Putty continue to display all the way.
I used win xp & win 7 both 32-bit & 64-bit with all reslts the same (CAN'T CTRL +C) and the box is stuck on booting forever. What can I do???

Thanks mate for the support. I have a voltmeter but I do not know how to check the psu.
Can you show me how and if there is a link to where to do that with drawings or photo's.
----------------
I noticed that when I turn the receiver on, the cooling fan starts and stops immediately. the front led lights showing "BOOTING" is normally working. Network lights in the back is also normal.
------------
I really appreciate it.:)

hi,
on the picture above you have all what you need,
1. unplug ribbon cable which connecting PCU board with receiver board
2. power PSU up (switch on)
3. using voltmeter check voltage between pins :
8 (ground) and 9, 7, 4,3,2,1 and compare it with these on the pic...
if is major difference there - more than 0.3V thats mean its PSU problem

IMPORTANT!!!!
DO NOT SHORT-CIRCUIT PINS DURING CHECK THIS MAY BLOW PSU DEAD :)

thats it :)

Thanks again stuff.hunter for following up and helping.
It seems that the power supply is different than the one posted. All I see is a four wire connection from psu to the motherboard.
I am eliminating the PSU being damaged. cooling fan usually restart after booting.

I will post the MB of this receiver model (look at the upper right corner where the wiring of the PSU.
-------------
Again I can not get it to respond to the CTRL+C.?
What will be my next step? if I may ask
