DM800 DE-OpenBlackHole 1.4 Release Praline-Sim 1.0 (OE1.6) wont boot

as above,asked toysoft on a better image for my mates db800 with bootlader 72,he reccomended using DM800 DE-OpenBlackHole 1.4 Release Praline-Sim 1.0 (OE1.6),after i flashed all i get is dream multimedia
192.168.1.122
stop on the display,i can go into web interface but not flash it from there,i can reflash in dreamup

any ideas,thanks

only asking here as i think he is too busy to reply at the moment and i have found nothing on a search

Just reflash a image.

There were sim1 sim that did not go to a 72 ssl 69 and 70 I think they were, maybe that's the issue.

Just reflash with dreamUP.

Toysoft always pushes that image because he want to charge you for support forget the cost but he charges a yearly fee for what he call direct support.

Support is free all over the net.

yeh 69 and 70 they was,he said any would be fine even though i was originally on 72,reflashed but it wont boot,would i be able to reflash the nabilo 72 image i originally had

even going back to an old image wil do to get it working

tryed flashing image that allways worked and got no joy.image flashed ok,do you reckon it could be something to do with the power button like toysoft suggested or could it be anything else ?

Flash imge only with ssl70,this bootloader is ok for this image,should be boot fast and good,ok.

right tryed another image,no boot,went back to this image and it wont boot,someone reckoned it could be a faulty power button so i bought another front panel and it still wont boot,,,so i connected to putty and serial mode,wasnt sure what to do so i chose flash sector recovery and it seems to boot ok from whats is says on panel.choose language etc etc,so i do with remote,then hook back up to the tv and it wont boot,but will boot every time i choose flash sector recovery in dreambox advanced setup utility

it only boots to dhcp.now if i use putty and serial then get into dreambox advanced setup utility and choose flash sector recovery it does it thing then box boots as i can see from lcd as it ask to change language etc etc,but then when i hook upto tv that is not near pc it boots back to dhcp and thats it

throw it in the bin, i spent a week trying to fix one with the same problem,in the end i gave up. i even tried a different sim and still no luck.

I had a similar problem with one of the boxes.

You have 2 alternatives;
- Load an old patched image with bootloader 69 (it worked for me after several attempts using network and com ports.
- Or change the SIM card to more recent one like SIM2 or Ferrari.

the old clone sim 1 boxes dont work with new sim cards due to hardware issues,the first clones had sim 1's from #69 upto #72 and at the time you could only swap to a new ferrari sim that had just came out,they would not work with a sim 2.01.

so what he needs to do is find these patched sim 1 bootloaders #69 - #72 and images with the same bootloaders,flash the image first then straight after flash the bootlader,and just keep trying,i recently tried one for a friend for at least a week with no success,in the end i told him to throw it in the bin.
