Hello Friends,

Trying to delete an image that got corrupted from my extenal flash using Barry Allen.

It says that the image was deleted, but I can still boot the supposidly deleted image.
Tried using FTP to delete the image but no luck.

Is there a sure way (other than formating the USB) to get rid of the unwanted image?

Had a similar problem with Meoboot on another box.
The corrupted image is still occupying space.

Thanks.

Hmmm if you have ftp'd in to mbimages and removed it then killed the power it should not show just tried it here.

So what your saying is FTP does not remove the folder neither does the barry allen wizard ?

telnet "bainit 90" is control file system
after then delete img smoothly

No luck my friend.
I did telnet "bainit 90" without the " marks.
Waited for the process to finish, then tried deleting the unwanted image.
Image refuses to go away using BA or FTP.

Thanks for your replies friends.
Yes I am on the internal flash and yes I have updated Barry Allen.
The Internal flash is working fine and I am a firm believer in:
If it is not broken, do nor fix it.

Have you also tried this:- Goto /media/ba/ba and Right click on the Image, press delete and then reboot your DM. If this does not work. could be that because of corrupted file, Image is now Read only and you need to format usb stick.

Thanks for your reply.
I did try what you recommended about deleting that image by following the the steps
/media/ba/ba and Right click on the Image, press delete and then reboot your DM.
But unfortunately the image has become read only.
There must be a way to change the status from read only.

Only way is to format the stick and reinstall Barry Allen.
Not all Images are working well with Barry Allen.
There for I use 2 sticks 1 for testing and 1 for the Image that are working well.
Barry Allen is not a good option at this moment , also on the 2.0 Images the new Barry Allen is not working well.

To clear the picture that does not care, Remove pen usb usb decoder insert in your PC and delete from the window to the folder containing image you are interested .... reconnect usb pen Barry Allen to the decoder

@87katia

U can not delete a Image on the stick in Windows because the stick is formatted to Linux.

@humaxdriver

U can not delete a corrupt Image and that's the problem , only you can format the stick and reinstall.
