4:2:2 What Receivers?

Here is my question why does the computer using VLC play 4.2.2 so easy, and NO receivers will play it?

Most IRD are using Quad core processors and effort ram to play it? Why can't someone either make a side car that will plug in your USB port or a plugin that will support 4.2.2?

Is a matter of licensing.
Most SOC do not incorporate 4:2:2 profiles.
And the ones that do,are used ONLY in commercial receivers.
The fact is : VLC is the ONLY player that can do this profiles, and is not commercially distributed, its free,so I think this circumvent the licensing.
Maybe they would have to make a FREE receiver? (would it happen?)

Any receiver that wants to use this profiles need to pay license, and none of them want to,since is not important for them.
This has been a subject since the 90's,and only a few receivers adopted this profiles.Very few.

Incorrect: VLC is not the only player.
Any multimedia player that can run external filters can do 4:2:2.
All that's needed is to install LAV filters and the player will show 4:2:2 better than the VLC does.
The LAV video filter is lightweight compared to VLC internal video processing decoder.
This is important since the CPU does data processing of 4:2:2 and transcoding on-the-fly into 4:2:0.
As such, the LAV filter does not overload the CPU like the VLC does, resulting in smoothly running HD feeds 4:2:2 even on weak PC configurations.
LAV filter can even run HEVC 4K feeds in 4:2:2, where VLC gets stalled completely.
You can try LAV filter with MPC-HC, MPC-BE or SmartDVB apps.

Well, you can call it "transcoding" or whatever suits you better, but the chroma subsampling is being transferred from 4:2:2 ratio into 4:2:0 by the software, meaning the CPU.
GPU takes care of video decoding (codec: H264/H265), of course - if supported by the graphics card's hardware.

You didn't get the point : regardless which one is better to use,the subject of this was the LICENSING,and not the utility itself.
LAV as well as VLC are free developments, which looks to me is the only way to jump the license fee.(all other codecs that do are not free)
Reveicer makers, which is actually the topic in question (not VLC),consider not worth it to use any SOC that do 4:2:2.
Azbox was using one for mpeg2,but is outdated now.(and only the second consumer receiver that do 4:2:2 in history)

I never put the licensing matter in question nor have flipped the topic from receivers to VLC. I've just responded to your incorrect statement about VLC being the only one for 4:2:2.

4:2:2 What Receivers TBS?
TBS6925 or TBS6903 or other
who support 4:2:2??

4:2:2 is not about what receiver you use.
Is not important
Is about your PC and the video decoders you are using.
Make sure your PC is fast enough, powerful enough, and use a capable video decoder.

Extremely powerful CPU is needed if you're going to watch 4K UHD feeds in 4:2:2.
VGA cards just provide HW decoding of video codecs in use (H265 or H264), while CPU converts 4:2:2 into 4:2:0 using SW.

Please clarify, what is not possible to do?
Can the receiver tune this trasponder? can you scan the trasponder and channels get added to channel list.
If the answer is YES,then your tuner is ok.
What you need to get is a new PC or upgrade yours for a faster processor, and a better video card.
Or check which CODEC you are using to to view this 4:2:2 video.
You maybe using a CODEC that does not support it.
