Newbie on this.
How can I tell what sim card my dm800 has and which bootloader?
I see many Images for 2.01 and ssl#84b.
How can I see what my dm has?

Reboot your box from a powered down state watch the 800 screen and it should tell you some info there. Let us know what this is and we can guide you.

Be careful with ssl #84b if you have a clone. I've tried to install it and now my dreambox shows me an error "no CA found".

This is a genuine dm800 which had its sim burnt and replaced by authorized dealer. Tried to put in a fresh bl84 Image but failed. A friend flashed it with an old Blackhole Image. Checked through TSPanel and it shows I have bl75 and sim is 2.01. Is it possible my sim was replaced by an old clone sim?

There is no genuine Blackhole image for a real 800 you have flashed a clone image to it. The front display when you try to boot should state sim2

So I guessed.Will this Image damage the sim card?
But then why get a CA error when tried to load latest ICvs Image?
If I try to load an ICvs bl75 Image will it work? Should I go on with a bl75 Image through webinterface?

If your 800 sim is genuine use genuine images the bootloader version does not matter as long as you use the correct image for your sim.

Sorry but I think there`s something wrong... I supose that original 800HD don`t have any SIM card... so if you have a dreambox 800HD with a SIM card... it`s a clone one.And yes, there`s BH images for original 800HD,Black Hole - DM800 v0.12 and Hyperspace... That`s what I supose....

It is an original Dm bought from official representative. To make absolutely sure I emailed the code given from the DM800 menu for authenticity to Dream Multimedia. This dm stopped booting after a storm and given for servicing and was charged 50e for a sim replacement.
After that the only Image I managed to load was a patched Image of Blackhole Hyperspace

Well I know that first series (more than two years) has no SIM card, but probably the new ones have a SIM card. So you have instaled an image for a clone in your original dream. Now you have to instal an image FOR your ORIGINAL dream with DreamUp and RS232 Serial cable... It`s not dificult...

Original DMM boxes do have a sim card, it a security feature employ to combat clones.
