Hello everyone, my channel icons have disappeared, they were there before, now they are gone. Does anyone know what the problem is? VIARK SAT

Last year, exactly on 30 January, and upon many requests sent to the server's support team, they opened two uhd channels:sky sports 4k and Main event 4k, unfortunately it lasted only a few days before it shut down, some suggested that the low spec ali 2661 boxes couldn't handle the processing of the high bitrate stream (30 mbps) through icam as the picture in those devices start freezing after a few minutes watching those channels.

Those channels were free to view, they opened on E2 too, without needing any sports sub active.

I can't remember if it was fully free to view or if you needed a card with some tiers on.

But yes it was opening from white cards (the same ones that open the sd channels with stream relay) as it was only using icam and was not HW paired, my card has no sports, but it opened the 4K channels when they were testing last year, and it stopped opening them the same time as they vanished from forever server.

Balls I imported an Android Hisilicon box in case UHD ever came back and that suggests it was just pure luck it worked in the short term if it was working on E2 as well 😂

The GTmedia never fitted right on my rack so not all is lost 👍

It's the Geant OTT 750 4k Evo Allure I got - thought you could fit an internal SATA disk but seems you need to solder a SATA header on to fit one (or use a cable as there's a non standard port on the board)

The qviart dual has the hisilicon chip but is android and e2.

Yeah I got the Geant cheaper than the Qviart so figured I'd give it a punt, plus I like the display on the front better as it can tell me a channel name.

The clocks crap though when it's off as loses time really randomly on current firmware.

Swings and roundabouts. The Geants an older box these days, I just fancied something different to what I had and it still gets updates.

I've still got a Mutant HD51 doing E2 duties anyway so I'd never use that side of the Qviart.

I'm happy with it, definitely better than the GTCombo that I bought that I haven't used in ages (saying that the GTCombo scanned in faster than even the Geant, that side was rapid!)
