I have seen the problem of an event timer recording not having worked and still sitting in the
timer listings even though the date has passed before. It has happened to me as well.
I have resolved it quickly though by trying things.

A simple reboot, switching the box off and back on again helps with this, as well as disconnecting
and then reconnecting your usb drive or usb stick. This sounds obvious, but trust me, sometimes
a reset is required.

After you do that, I would check your recording settings in the USB Menu and PVR SettingsMenu.
Ensure that the recording time is set to at least 600 (hrs), Timeshift set to off.

Then try a manual record if you can and have time please. Simply hit the record button on the
remote and then set the recording time manually to 10 mins to test the recording function works.
If that is ok, then use the event timer to record anything and see what happens.

The Viark does do recording very well. I'm just a a bit puzzled as to why it is a bit of a problem with
your box.

Good advice, my money is on the drive, but could be a combination of all your suggestions.

Check you have also turned off the chmax option in the menu system as this tends to slow down channel scrolling.

So, I don't know what is going on with this receiver. Recording programs is definitely NOT reliable.

Have you checked the other folders on you memory stick I've had it before that the recording starts before the programme starts and ends up in a different location with the title of the previous programme.

My Viark Sat 4K has been recording perfectly well.

I have a possible theory. I rescan (blind) fairly often as sly are prone to changing frequencies.
I did this during the day of the planned recordings but did then check that the planned recordings were still visible in the event timer.
Perhaps that is the issue.

My drive is new, a 2 TB usb hard drive.

Chmx is off, I did make the adjustments as suggested above.

I am going to do some experiments to find the reason.
I will also look at the current recordings too, to see if the recording is hidden somewhere.

Ho riscontrato il problema di una registrazione con timer di eventi che non funzionava e rimaneva ancora nel file
elenchi del timer anche se la data è già trascorsa. È successo anche a me.
L'ho risolto rapidamente però provando le cose.

Un semplice riavvio, spegnendo e riaccendendo il dispositivo aiuta in questo, così come disconnettersi
e quindi ricollegare l'unità USB o la chiavetta USB. Sembra ovvio, ma fidati di me, a volte
è necessario un ripristino.

Dopo averlo fatto, controllerei le impostazioni di registrazione nel menu USB e nel menu Impostazioni PVR.
Assicurarsi che il tempo di registrazione sia impostato su almeno 600 (ore), Timeshift impostato su disattivato.

Quindi prova una registrazione manuale se puoi e hai tempo, per favore. Basta premere il pulsante di registrazione sul
telecomando, quindi impostare manualmente il tempo di registrazione su 10 minuti per verificare il funzionamento della funzione di registrazione.
Se va bene, usa il timer dell'evento per registrare qualsiasi cosa e vedere cosa succede.

Il Viark registra molto bene. Sono solo un po' perplesso sul motivo per cui è un po' un problema
la tua scatola.

For example the Polish sports channel in 4K?

If im will be have iptv like this im will be ask about back money.

There are packages that have worked over 12 months or more plenty of them and on the whole they have been reliable.

If your an IPTV type of guy i think SU might be the wrong forum for you.

If you don't have viark Forever etc then you have no valid input for this discussion, for example sky uk only significantly down once in 13 months. Best stick to E2 threads and sub standard IPTV streaming.

Iptv and sport don't really go that well together, the viarks have a far better picture quality than virtually all the iptv streams that i have seen.
