It is an advertising for their vip package. It is the same on all receivers supporting forever, the channels open for a few seconds then close. Same happens for sky de.
To see if your box supports vip you can check its SN on their website, if it does, a message will be displayed saying you can use "l" cards. Not sure about viarks but starsat boxes are fine.

Can anybody clarify me how to change polarity when adding biss keys manually? Viark Sat 4K.
I make this. I tune the active transponder, enter in Key menu, add key manually and press ok. Now I can edit frequency/SR/SID, but once finished, my new key is assigned to a transponder with horizontal polarity and the real one is vertical. And obviously the key does not work. How can I solve? Thanks.

There's no way to enter polarity and it never used to matter H or V when entering keys, maybe your stb wants resetting or rebooting if not working as my viark sat autobiss is ok

Very strange. Made a full reset, also tried to reupload the official firmware via the "update.bin" process, then reset again and upload PT once more.
But autobiss does not work.... I'm continuing to test, not understand why for the moment.

Try clearing some or all of the biss keys in your key file.
Also, is PT showing as connected?

Yes PT is connected, and I clear many channels from most satellites via forever without any issues, including UK and DE, as always.
But autobiss does not work today. Just tried to clear all keys, now I have an empty table in the Key menu but no way.
Well, I suspect that this box suffers of some hardware problem. When I disconnect and connect the power supply again, it often locks into the boot loop and I must use the "update.bin" procedure to unlock it. It happens many times and it is not a good thing I'm afraid.

autobiss has stopped work this morning on my Viark Sat 4K box as well all was ok last night loading the official firmware and then updating back to PT firmware makes no difference PT is connected
i have all so found the recovery method below will not work for me i just get E002 on the display then it boots up i can only install the official firmware by using the USB menu

1. Format a USB to FAT32.
2. Download original Viark sofware and rename the bin file to "update.bin" and copy to the USB.
3. With the Viark disconnected from the power, insert the USB into the VIARK receiver.
4. Turn on the Viark and press (hold down) the POWER button on the front of the receiver.
5. Stop pressing the POWER button, once the letters "-ES-" appear on the display, as the recovery will begin.

I'm a new user of the box, finding the user interface a bit irksome (no sat key on remote, so a slight rigmarole changing via the SUBT button), and adding favourites seems to be quite buggy at times.
Main question here is that I added an active feed transponder with correct parameters, did a scan but it wasn't found, even on repeated attempts. No problem receiving it on another receiver, it was nice and strong. Is the scan buggy? If so, is there a workaround for this when it happens?

I remember that until about 18 months or so ago, the server would regularly go down on a Sunday.

Hey All,
Can you tell me if there's a difference between a Viark Sat 4K and a GTMEDIA V8 UHD in terms of what packages they open (purchased new) and what SP versions they support (when renewing)?

No difference in the packages they open

Viark use SP codes. Viarks come with a sub that is converted to SP1 online for free.
GTMedia Use Mars Europe if your in Europe. But this has to be purchased its not included.

Even with buying access to the server, GT Media is so much cheaper. Is Viark that much better a box? Also, are there any boxes/servers other than these two that open S*y UK, IT, DE?

I think the forever server is better than mars (I think the packets go first from forever, with a few days delay to mars)

Viark Sat 4K and V8 UHD are essentially the same box, just the V8 also includes a dvb-c/t2 tuner.

The viark also comes with 3 years server or 2 years if you switch to SP, whereas the V8 doesn't come with anything, so you need to factor in either 2 years Mars Europe or 3 years Mars Global to compare accurately.

Just found a site selling forever, mars, funcam etc. and they say forever sp1 opens Cosmote on 9e. Is it possible or total bullshit?
