How do I delete a channel on a Viark Sat 4K? I believe channel editors are unreliable so presumably the only alternatve is to use the remote. I am impressed with my Viark but really miss the simplicity of 'dreamboxedit' that I can use on my E2 box.
The problem with using the remote is that I can't see a way to do delete channels..
menu - Channels - Tv Channels - right arrow button to delete - select as many channels as u wish to delete
Exit - Warning do you really want to delete? - select Yes and OK .

its really not difficult whatsoever : ):)

nobody mentioned UHD or SD being opened from what i can recall 4K was only just a test but to the fact that pretty much all China box specs are not useful UHD will not be possible , and SD is phased out mostly so its pretty silly to even ask such a question . Try make an effort reading this topic again as your questions were already answered... and its pretty boring to try answer questions that have already been answered several times over .

NSS 40.5 West, C band. Many channels from South America on this satellite. Anyone knows if these channels are opened in forever? Thanks.

All channels encrypted with powervu and tandberg (director) including all sports channels are open on forever with keys auto-updating. Bfbs package with irdeto encryption doesn't open.

Yesterday I set up a cccam cline on my viark sat 4k, because some forever channels don't open. The decoder first tries to open the channel in vain with forever and then after about 40 seconds it opens it with the cccam cline. Is there a way to shorten the 40 second wait?

Hey 1980nicola,

I don't think this is the thread for your question. Please ask the question in the appropriate thread.

It also might not be a good idea to do that. It could be a possibility that your new line gets shared.. I'm not sure if my statement is accurate but you never know.

To use a cline along with forever you need to activate a setting called "delay". You can find it in menu->system->system settings->delay (on/off) in almost all receivers.
Like other members said i don't advise using your private cline. They will reshare it and it has happened multiple times in the past.

An update on the "VIP" for BeIN. For the first time since April 20th it worked on Wednesday for the Inter v AC Milan semi final. Only BeIN Sports Premium 1 worked and for the duration of the match only.

Apparently it worked on 4K boxes only (worked and was quite stable on my Sr- 220H4K). It hasn't worked since about 10pm UK time last night and didn't work for Europa League matches tonight.

I've noticed that 'deleted' channels seem to re-appear later. Is there background scanning on Viarks? I know there is on VU+ receivers but this feature can be disabled in their settings menu.
Yes I think there is I think it's under the chmax menu. The reason we know is because a few of us were surprised to find our dishes moving on their own whilst it was scanning the sats.
