Viark Forever boxes

Forgive my ignorance, but is there any way to back up the favourite list names on the Viark 4k? I find it irksome that after an update that they're not restored when reloading the backed up channel list.

Backup the channel list by pressing usb, then yellow and upload channels.

Then do it again, but this time press sat 1113 and backup the channels again (this will create a smaller list).

Then restore the 1st list you created (bigger file) and the smaller one after.

That usually works for me.

Thanks, but none of the above solutions work for me. I don't have a Sat key on my remote, if I press F1 instead, it just shows the info of the file or directory (the same result as pressing the Info button). Pressing the EPG button doesn't do anything either. Suggestions please?

You do have a USB stick in your box right ?

Made no difference. And yes, I do have a USB stick installed... No problem saving channels of course, that's straightforward enough.
Perhaps there's a misunderstanding here? I want to back up the *names* of the favourite lists, once I've renamed them to my use. I *don't* mean the list of favourites.

BTW, while on the subject of favourite lists, is there a way to stop it defaulting to the (as installed) "Spain" favourites? Even once you select a particular satellite, it still tends to keep ending back on that.

There's no misunderstanding about fav *names* and I know you *don't* mean the list of favourites either They all back up perfect the way I and others have suggested.
Never seen "Spain" issue before.

Recently purchased a Viark 4K receiver. Equipped with the latest software and everything works perfectly.
I have some questions, maybe someone can answer them.

- Is it possible to blind scan in certain frequency ranges? For example 12500 - 12750, 10950 - 11200, ect...

- Can I take a screenshot of a certain channel, a connection to the PC is probably not possible.

- I would like to load a recent channel list for this receiver in SDX format, can anyone help me?

Hi all - excuse me if I'm being stoopid, but...
Got a VIARK Sat 4k box
Scanned 28.2E
Installed PT firmware 1.20
Followed Kegnkiwi's guide- entered my SN and verification number
Seemed to work- got a success message, and on receiver Info I can see expiry date extended from June 2024 to June 2026
IPTV works
Non- $ satellite channels work
But none of the $ channels work- just get a black screen saying "scramble channel"

What am I missing?

Really nothing at all you have done is wrong just double check you have a WIFI signal or Ethernet is connected .
Unplug box and HD channels that open will turn Yellow color
TNT SD/HD should work as well as UK Movies HD and UK Sport HD
there are a few that wont with $ symbol but most will ,
expiry date extended from June 2024 to June 2026 is right as you lost a year but that is exactly as should be happening
you will have SP1 Code as all you get is a quick success message .
You can try it again if you wish it will only tell you that you already have entered S/N correctly .

I am certain its only a minor issue with no Internet to your box once that's sorted your in Bizz !!

In Net & Games scroll to bottom to see if PT is connected if it's not connected click OK it may still say it's not connected but will if you scroll to something else then back

You do'nt and never need to click OK ....if PT not connected its 99.99% due to your box not getting internet connection / WIFI Connection
when you unplugged does it flash up very quickly IP acquired Successfully ?? Address of box 192.168.x.xxx when booting up ??
if not for sure you have Network/WIFI issues .
SEE IF You can use IPTV as u have 1 year connection to Test out in Menu>Apps>IPTV
I Can confirm no issues on 28E and my PT Connected in Menu>Net & Games

Check your Server Status Menu>Net & Games >Scroll up to Server click OK
Click Left Arrow Slot 39 Below Connected Servers 2: Connected [ IN YOUR Case ] ->> (June 2024 to June 2026) ?
Server Type PTPro.IM.145 ??

The sports and movies seems to have a yellow version that opens. Some e.g. Asian channels dont have yellow versions that open- so it desnt open all the Sk* channels. I can get those on IPTV anyway, but wanted to have a play with satellite again.

Next step- scan with motorized dish! I'm used to E2 images so this is a bit of a learning curve.

Off topic- are there actually any clines these days that work on E2 boxes or is it now For**** satellite box or IPTV?

Good glad you have it working i'd suggest to stick to 28E and try Edit your channel list even create some favs
that's a lot more time consuming i know but do'nt judge the box on 28E either as Yes and for sure Yes in other Satellites there is just so much more
as in 19E/16E And 13E and much,much more .
You have started and already off to a complete flyer and are soaring high now the sky is the limit for you ,lol's ,
yes big change from E2 boxes of which i am no stranger either : )
C lines my advise stay far away from on Viark Boxes in particular they'll add very little extra and C Lines have been well known to be shared and even Hacked..... its dodgy.... stick with connection you have it'll be more than enough when u get to other Satellites .

i am glad you are not restricted and can investigate other sats im certain you'll have plenty to look at : )

Then going to try motorized dish and see if I can get simialr signal strength/quality and same scanned channels. Then going to do other satellites.

Somewhere while pressing buttons I found pressing the green button brought up an option to move the dish - I'll play with that and see if I can optimize dish positioning. I know if I enter my coordinates for USALs the positions should be set automatically but I'm having a play.
