Barney why would you buy a new box out of curiosity vs renewing? Is the latest one for sale a new model with higher specs etc?

JUST To replace my Viark Sat 4K after 4 years which will be 5 next year it is starting to look very rough
it'd not be worthwhile renewing and risk it giving up the ghost since a new box would gimme 2 years totally Free anyhow .
That is the only reason and simple logic box would only cost €50 vs Renewing and risking for another couple years .

In an ideal world that would work out real well , i pity the fool that'd pay 50 for a 5 yr old FTA box however
but yes i get what your saying , but i have the old remote with the SAT Button so im hoping i'll get another 5 yr outta this remote
do'nt think i could live with all these new remotes that are missing a Sat button i just know Ferret would agree with me there

Thanks for the tip about pv i had no idea au worked as when i got the 4k a few months back am sure i saw a few comments on this thread it did not work so must have missed
the news when it was added great news anyway took about 3 mins to kick when afn was down.
It really is an excellent receiver with best picture and sound quality ever had on a receiver the only small couple of gripes i wish could be added would be it able to get a signal on
three digit symbol rates, have tried without any luck although its probably a hardware issue so cannot be rectified. I hope to stand corrected if anyone has brought these symbol rates in. And the other one mentioned many times the issue with Satback on 15w. When i first got the box i did scan the channels in and shortly after i deleted the tp as was messing around with a channel list and put it on again and of course that was then when the problem started.
Also for anyone interested have noticied recently all Pink channels are on rather than norm of just two or three.

i can confirm Pink channels on 16E are all restored and working really well
i do like those as i do find many a great Movie playing there well worth a watch nice package .
three digit symbol rates i do not come across very often its probably not a main priority to resolve i guess ?
Satback on 15w is for sure an issue that hopefully could be fixed since it still works so well on my very old TM5402 M3
As for AFN it is back working on FS once again so AU probably not required unless it stops again .
COSMOTE TV is an interesting addition with the UEFA CL but very likely without any English Commentary since even recorded highlights only have Greek commentary or Stadium noise Only but still no want of sporting events mostly in Eng language too .
Good Testing indeed something for any possible Viark S/W Devs that just might be reading this forum could perhaps consider fixing in next PT S/W updates : )
