Explain what your trying to do and under what menu.

Ive seen that error when the wrong mount point is selected under device manager. Try a different mount point option.

Trying to get the time shift to work and each time it tells me to setup hard drive in recording path.

Please make sure to setup default storage device menu setup system record paths. I move Default storage to my hard drive. default movie location to /hdd/movie/ then hit save and I then get the above error.

I can record programs fine and the hard drive is mounted so not sure what's wrong

Just a bit more info I can unmounts or mount anymore as get the following error There was an error while configuring your storage device.

Could be your hdd is faulty, before you condem it try another image.

Remove any manually set mount points for the device giving the problem, ie make sure the device has no mount points defined. Restart E2 and let the image do it's thing. Job done.:thum:
