there are 3 ways you can set the settings for a smargo smartreader .

this depends on your hardware .

examples :

Second if u buy from Italy and u share it again you goes to black list and sly not give u any more card to u.

Just a simple question. I saw in the example that the parameter AU is set to 1.
Does exist any risk to have the card burnt enabling the auto update? I am saying that because I had a 0919 car burnt some mounths ago and starting from that day I put the AU parameter set to 0 because I am afraid to have my card burnt.

hello no you cant burn the card when you set AU = 1, but all updates will be written to you card!

Thanks dede for your promt answer, but I know that setting the AU to 1 it means that the card will be written with all the update. Indeed this is my fear is that in this way some bad information could be sent by some provider and written into the card making it no more usable

Really nobody can assure me that thegre is no risk to have the card burnt. I am looking for somebody using from enaough time the 09cd card using the AU parameter set at 1.

if you are using the newcamd protocol then it is better to have the reader name in au .

oscam.server
label = skyitalia

oscam.user
au = skyitalia

this way it works better with newcamd ( N line ) & no it will not burn your card mate .

post 18 is really for other cards & not really meant for skyitalia .

as no one can give a real solution for update of this card .

it is most probably better to update the card in the original stb .

Thank you guly. So I understand that you in your previous post suggest that using mgcamd it is better to specify the name of the reader and using those cam the card will not burnt.
In the other case is better for skyIT to use the original stb.
Given that I am using oscam with the DVBapi option it is better I continue to mantain the AU parametr at 0 and update the card in the original stb.
