u have to go back to ur default skin , u can do this using DCC E2

while ur box is connected & keeps restaring crashlogos ****

by DCC E2 go to etc/enigma2/settings , then edit settings , look for this string at the end of the page { config.skin.primary_skin=XXXXXXXXX/skin.xml

just edit it to be like this >{ config.skin.primary_skin=skin.xml ) , then save & restart ur enigma2 or( telnet **** killall -9 enigma2 )
now u have ur image with defualt skin & u can choose another skin , hope u got it

I have the same problem with the skin but on a DM800se clone SSL #84a.

My image is iCVS-Image-dm800se-11-21-ramiMAHER.nfi and i want to set the essential72 as the default skin.

After flashing the image using web interface, when the TV source screen appear, i unpacked using telnet the tarball with the skin and set config.skin.primary_skin=essential72/skin.xml

Everything go ok but in one point, after setup the LNB the box start restarting with the following error message:

Any suggestion how to fix this?

The box is continuosly restarting so i have no time to log using the telnet and to check the log file.

The error say: AttributeError so I guess that the error has to do something with the attributes from one file/folder but which ?

you are lacking module
usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components/Converter/DateToText.py
you have to remove from skin or add the module

I checked with my DCC and the file appear in that location

usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components/Converter/DateToText.pyo

but in DateToText.pyo there is reference to
usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components/Converter/DateToText.pyt which i do not have on my DM

Maybe that should be the problem !?

The thing is that i installed the image using default skin and then installed essential72 skin and iss working. I will re-flash the box and check for those files on a clean image install.

don't look in pyo, use the py, the pyo is generated from the py file after reboot, so you can actually delete the pyo if you want

usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components/Converter/DateToText.py
was missing. I put the file and the installation went one step future until another file was missing, and another and so on.

I put entire python folder from a working image and in this case the installation made one GreenScreenOfDeath and after restart was working fine. But I'm not satisfied with this situation. I was trying to insert essential72 skin as a default skin for the installation wizard of iCVS-Image-dm800se-11-21-ramiMAHER.nfi but crashing at the end of wizard mean that the adding of skin is not done properly. For the moment.... i stopped this attempt.

yea i know, even in the write log it stops after first missing file, i use to comment out request from skin and in the end only add needed modules in ipk file

ramimaher skins runs on ramimaher gp3 , ramimaher gp3-icvs , ramimaher vti-gp3 . so skin not compatible with newenigma

what i see from log Picon2 module is missing but after you add that one some other module is for sure missing
