service not found?

when i scroll down to some channels and press ok , i get the message "service not found SID not in PAT" can someone tell me what this means . channel name is there but doesnt open . thanks

wrong frequency or old (not) working channel... this is problem in many downloaded channel list from net... if problem in frequency, is enough to scan manually frequency with correct data

check channel and frequency on lyngsat or kingofsat

You will also get the message if the channel is not on air. What i mean by that is channels the do transmit 24/7

can you explain what you mean by change dieq . im moving dish using vbox and actuator , so am not using dm500hd to move dish , what should my settings be in 500hd and how do i alter them thanks

He possible means the diseqc switch.

If your dish is moving correctly under Diseqc 1.2 manually storing position for your vbox then you need no further settings.

As mention earlier manually scanning usually cures this problem on fringe satellite were signal is weak its not unusually to clear a channel one day then get this message the next if the signal strength drops say on a cloudy day.

Yes mate diseqc switches have know problems with Dreamboxes some work some dont, when they don't work or work intermittently then the service not found problem can occur.

In this case though using a vbox there will be no switch issues.
