satfinder ?

when i try to check freq for cartoon network hd on 28.2E (12324v 29500) i cant get a lock on this , yet on a strong tp say channel 4 , im getting 100% without moving the dish . im recieving channels at 4 hops , but surely this wont affect signal ? could it be an lnb problem ? as i have only had lnb on about 1 year . thanks for any help.

Hops make no difference to signal strength or quality although at that distance you will breakup on a regular basis.

Try a manual scan with the frequency for Cartoon Network see if you can then view it.

im using inverto black ultra which is about 1 year old . am running open pli . today all i can get is fta , everything else is a 4 hops but no picture , yet at the bottom of screen when i press ok , it says 13db which should be ok to clear picture , yet when i go to satfinder , i still cant get a lock on any pay channel freq (strange?) . im getting disc hd at 23.5 e and others on that sat that are shared with me on that sat , its just 28.2e i cant get any of the pay channels or a lock on them . could box need flashing ? or is it lnb problem ? thanks

Its nothing to do with signal strength it who your connected to that's not capable of clearing those channels

all channels clearing but the satfinder wont get a lock on any channels with the sr 29500 , im using open pli2.1 , any ideas why ? thanks
