Question about OE 1.6 Images and Plugins

Since new Images are now being issued with OE 1.6, do they take the usual Plugins that OE 1.5 Images also take?
If not, are there any suitable Plugins yet for these new OE 1.6 Images?

Some may work but on the whole 1.5 plugins are not intended to work on OE 1.6 images.
