I have installed 8.3 for vu+uno from openpli.org

Now Use interface stays ON.

All the figures have been automatically given by DHCP but when I do a network test, I get:
LAN adapter: WLAN connection ok
Wireless network: connected ok
DHCP: enabled ok
IP address: unconfirmed
Nameserver:unconfirmed.

For info, all the numbers given by DHCP (ip, primary and secondary DNS, Gateway, Netmask) are exactly the same as they were under Black Hole image (I wrote them down before factory reset, just in case).

Also, when I try to save Network Configuration, the image gets stuck and the only way out is to switch off the Vu. This has happened a few times and I'm beginning to wonder whether those recent images are fully compatible with my old box. (edit: the changes actually get saved but the image is then stuck).

Hi everyone

This morning when I started my box, USE INTERFACE is again switching it self off for no reason.

I have installed an VTI image that I had (6.0.5 from 2013) and straightaway (no need to restart router) NETWORK TEST is 100%. IP address, nameserver, etc. all OK. Surely this tells us that my router or my configuration are not at fault. For some reason, OpenPLI doesn't work for me.

As I can't get WLAN to work, I have gone back to Black Hole image.
I have downloaded the most recent BH that I could find (3.1.0 which is about 3 years old).
I have installed that and both WLAN and Cccam (2.2.1) work well.

As my image is 3 years old, should I update the satellite.xml file?
If yes, do I want Ku, Ka or C bands? (I think Ku only but I'd rather check with you guys)

Also where do I put this new xml file? /etc/enigma2 or /etc/tuxbox? (the xml that came with the image is in /etc/tuxbox. Do I leave it there or replace it with the new one?)

Also, I'm still hoping to oscam and I have downloaded but not installed the following:

enigma2-softcams-oscam-all-images_11845-emu-802-arm+mips_all.ipk
enigma2-plugin-softcams-oscam_11845-emu-r802_all.ipk
enigma2-plugin-softcams-oscam-11245-linuxsat_vti_mips32el.ipk

Is any of these ok to install?

Use this one

enigma2-softcams-oscam-all-images_11845-emu-802-arm+mips_all.ipk

Install it via telnet only not via the box.

Client to server application that can install plugins but also bring in dependencies .

Think you need to google and read.

Not really advisable getting a E2 box without knowing or preparing to learn the basics regarding telnet.

Hello,
i have one question about oscam with integrated cccam.cfg. I used all the time the file from Mohamed and it works perfect.
The new file from Mohamed don´t work anymore. The file is only 640kb big. All the other oscam are bigger files about 1,5Mb. Could you tell me what I think wrong. Thanks a lot for answers.

Name the one you used or i can not help you.

Hello Ferret,
the new and old OSCAM works perfect. The mistake was in the CCcam.cfg.
If I start one free server the load a lot of them. So the Oscam does work any more.
When I disable the free server adress from CCcam.fg the oscam work perfect.
In the past they work. Don´t know what is different now.

Hi

Thanks for all your help but far too complicated for me. Can't I just install it from the box like I did with cccam?
