hi dreamer,
i'm glad if you can explain process of adding new satellites to the built-in list in detail
i wish to delete all those western satellites coz i live in india and i can't lock them anyway
i've put Lemontree_Proton_1.4.80_X4_newoldRem_PVRLL_EdiRC1RC2.abs on my orton x403p and i wish to control motorized dish (sg-2100) using usals

neither i see go to x command here nor i find that new user satellite command
am i using wrong /restricted firmware?

------
i got this old remote
is there any advantage of new remote over old one?
is it possible to switch to new remote for my x403p?

pls get back
thank you

download fail? why don't you upgrade via usb?
i've used it many times in last couple of days while checking different firmwares with satellite edit/add capability

have you found any way to edit/add/delete built-in satellites by the way?
i didn't understand what dreamer said in post #401 in reply to your post

hi
why don't you search for a "favorites " list ?
please read my post "403" here down .
Dreamer1983 said that
in all software/firmware...
you can create yourself a "new" name of satellite and add the settings by hand.

thank you for trying to help me out
add/edit/delete of satellites appearing in the list is what i mean that appears in usals menu in x403p (it is built in the firmware i guess)
if i can not add a satellite there with its orbital position, for eg. insat4a@83E, i can not tell the motor to go for it
i didnt understand how i can do this job in favorites
moreover in services menu i'm getting these two sub menus: services -> organizing services & organizing favourites
i'm not able to enter into any of them.. showing error message saying 'no programs'
can you please explain what dreamer meant by entering satellites manually

coming to the attachment suggested by you, it is alieditor and it is meant for editing programs lists but not satellites. right?

i read somewhere in forums that satellite list can be updated in dream boxes with some xml file (satellite.xml). do we have such facility for x403p too?

i also read somewhere that i should get the firmware designed for my region and it will have all the reachable satellites for that region. is that true?
i live in india. where can i find a firmware with all those satellites between 10E to 160E if the above argument is true?

----
as for alieditor, it is asking for some .udf file but the image i saved in thumb drive is a .bin file
how should i extract .udf from the receiver?
can you point me to some instruction/guide for saving and restoring lists after firmware upgrades pls?

pls excuse my basic knowledge.. i'm totally new here
thanks again

channels editor

hi
the channels editor is the same editor for x403 and ALI 3602.
with the editor , you can "capture-download" the channels list FROM your x403 receiver !
in the program , clic on "file" , "open" choose "udf" if you have one file udf
or
choose "process" and to download into the PC choose : " upload stb to PC " !

in "all services " / "satellite information , you will find all the existing satellites !

insat4a@83E if it is at 83E....it is not in my (old) list !
but you will find all the needed services, video, info at
kingofsat.net or lynsat.com

please tell me if it is ok or PM !
regards

how to "send" channels

hi

b) alieditor can only connect on null cable and doesn't work on ethernet. right?
you can do it on rs232c .
first choose "setting" and setup all (com1...........115000..... aso....)
choose in "download ABS setting"===>"user database"
(you can backup the old base on your PC).
then , you choose "process" and " download file "PC===>STB"
do you have USB port on the x403 , then it is 1000 times easier to do on usb and 1000 times quick !!!!
" !

how to edit-add-delete-move channels or scan

hi
the best way should be to simply "point" to the desired satellite .
you create the name of the desired "satellite" and you create one
transponder with the complete settings for one frequency of transponder.
it is the "NIT"
then you will "see" the "new satellite" while "zapping" the sky from 80E "express am2" to "yamal 102"
regards
i will search for the frequency of your 83E

usb connector

hi
i do not know if your x403 has a usb connector included !!!!!
my yumatu ALI 3602a has a usb connector build-in and it is much more easier than serial
when receiver has a USB included , the receiver has a menu that enable you to to do all throught usb port of the RECEIVER !!!!!
in a few seconds!

hi
it seems you have an "USB" port on your receiver !!!:D

you use the prog on the PC
you add-modify-delete what you want
you copy the result file on a USB key
you input your USB key in the receiver
you choose "update favorites"
that's all
:D
