Hi guys,

I have updated my image from VTI to BH and although the system recognizes my hard drive and I can play all the videos recorded, if I try to put on pause a channel I have the error message "timeshift not possible".

I do have lots of space available so I do not understand what it's wrong!

Any idea???

Cheers

thanks for the reply, but yes the tuner is free so I don't understand the problem, unless with the new image I have to initialise the hard disk but I guess I would lose all the recordings I've made

In the root of your hdd make sure you have the folders

timeshift
movie

if this still dont help then it sounds like a bad image try a reflash you souldent have to initialise and if you can record then your hdd is allready initialise'ed

I tried what you said Jamie but it did not work actually I now found out that I cannot access the hard drive with filezilla at all! the Vu is able to see it and play the files (and even recording) but nothing more, strange!!

This may sound like a silly question but can you double check that you have your HDD mounted correctly. It has to be mounted to use for timeshift but does not have to be mounted to view files/movies stored on the HDD

As well as mount point do you have the recording paths setup ?

yes Ferret (btw I'm using your modified image) but if I try to change it the receiver just stop responding and I need to reboot it, and as I was saying before what I found really strange is that I cannot access the hard drive with filezilla. maybe I should re-flash it??
