Hello :)

I'm updating my receiver again, after 5-6 months.
I'm still using my channelmaster 1.20m

However it seems that I don't get a signal anymore on many transponders. And some transponders are stronger than before.

Are there some changes been done ?
Anyone has some info ?

Much thanks for the share, but I have an old Spiderbox HD 9000

And today, I've checked all transponders on Lyngsat dot com

I believe this is one of best sites ?
Or am I wrong ?

I've used it for years :)

I have another question. Before and now, some transponders
where still (no signal) from NW Africa. I always believed that my Channelmaster 1.20 M was just a little to small, (Belgium) to get access to all transponders.

In the futur, I wanna buy a 1.50M dish.
Do you think this can help ?

Can 30cm more, give a difference ??

Depends where you are, Nilesat 102 is finally being retired & channels moved over to either Nilesat 201, Eutelsat 7 West A or Eutelsat 8 West C.

Eutelsat 7 West A is the stronger (in the UK) & receivable on sub 1m dishes. I've had it in Scotland on 1m - just but up there it's 1.8m or bigger for useful reception, maybe 1.5

Nilesat 201 is much weaker in the UK, you might get a bit of it on a 1.2 on the south coast of England but more likely bigger & it gets up to 2.4m/ 3.4m in the Midlands (c. Birmingham)

Eutelsat 8 West C might need 3m-4m+ on the UK's south coast, not done an install for that yet,

E8WC doesn't have the same footprint shape as the Nilesats & E7WA- more an ME beam than MENA

I was getting nilsat 101 with 75% im North Portugal

Nilesat 201 is much weaker, you need at least 3M to catch a signal here

I would say no way to receive anything in UK with less than 5 M.

The same goes to the East beam, no less than 5 meters .

So we can only receive Mena beam, and even so you need 1.8 to 2,4 m size
North Portugal

After some more testing finaly could get some channels with a
2.4 M size dish in north Portugal.
In center and south have reports that with a 1.10 cm dish you get this satelites with 30% signal.
In Uk i would guess you need more than 2.4 M dish size.
