hello new to the forum am thinking of getting myself a vu solo is there plenty of support for this stb thanx

I would not buy a Solo at this moment in time, drivers are crap and even groups are refusing to develop images with the drivers supplied by VU.

If i were you i would buy the VU Duo.

much better you cannot cook an evening meal on the top of a VU, on an 800 they get that hot you could, better processor, tunners are better 3 usb slots full size hard drive NO GLITCHES, really easy to setup.

Yes the Duo is streets ahead of a DM800. Faster CPU more memory 2 card slots. In fact the DUO is more on par with a DM8000

by reading on other forums we see that this roumors was started even before the SOLO was there. What drivers are crap in this case, and why is the SOLO crap, i can tell you that i have both this boxes and there is not so much diference in this boxes, they run the same plugins, the same addons, and emus, the only diference i see is that the SOLO has les images support til now, but that was the same when the DUO box come out

Read the release notes on the Power Of Dream image release for the DUO they mention the solo twice.

The solo is not crap it will be a great box when the Drivers are sorted. Maybe my terminology is wrong, i should of said the drivers are buggy .

Many people know well why not come img from the Pli team and dream elite. It is because of they did not get free boxes from vu +

And vu + duo also had problems with drivers at the start ..

It did mate yes.

Solo will be a great box but VU need to act fast.

PLI and DE need those boxes, their support is invaluable you can not buy support like that.
