HELP!!!

I've put the last version on Azbox HB elite, before i've put the openRsi-kernel "azboxhd-kernel-20120216"; it was very slow and i try to change firmware with AzUp 2.6; afer a try (it was not able to go in rescue mode) the Azbox is now blocked on BOOTING!!!:mad::mad::mad:
What i've to do to recovery my box???:mecry::mecry::mecry:

It is not the first time.
Already many users have broken your receiver.

Now just to repair to replace the chip, which will be stitched boot.

This is to be expected.
PLI will never know how to collect images of normal.

Try to send the kernel they put up there and then the latest FW.

Here is how: switch off AZ at the back and turn it on again after 10 secs but press and hold the right arrow ( > ) on the front panel, until you get the IP address.

AZUp and JaZUp can detect if the box is in the RESCUE MODE or not and send the command to go into it, too...

If not, find on this forum, AZ sections, my thread on how to save your fooked box...

Btw, The_Ripper is starting another OpenPLi fork, developing the kernel etc. - in order to bring OpenPLi to AZbugs, too...

Hi
I found out the following steps for installing the OpenRSI FW. Is it correct? What does mean "Only Kernel"?
For Premium and Elite
firts flash mdev kernel version with Azup 2.16, reboot into resque mode and flash image with azup 2.16 and unthick copy kernel

That will probably help some of them struggling, livanioss...

This morning the image on TV was flickering like mad. I had to put in a new image...

RESUME PLAYBACK is a PROBLEM - I have no option to start playing a video from the start, also... It just automatically goes to where I stopped the last time I watched a video...

I still have some probs with CIfS mounting and not sure why...

Btw, YouTubePlayer is a no go, as i said.

Can My Tube Player or some other plugin of the sort be installed - anyone tried?

10mins after installing 18th, here I go again....

nStreamPlayer crashes E2 big time all the time...

Porn Centre doesn't play its own vids - must go to MC instead...

This OPENRsi image is just super . It has revived my old Azbug HD to be a modern one . Gorski hope you do a detailed tutorial for this image as you have done so many a time and helped alot of people through the years and i am one of them . Thanks Gorski !

Even though there's lots of work ahead, we all hope...

However, we have seen the story before - lots of promise but no delivery...

Both the RSI and The_Ripper have started their own OpenPLi kernel development fork, so something new is brewing, indeed.

Nevertheless, I have to try to calm you all down: even though OpenPLi is great, the team writing the kernel and drivers is very, very small, plus they are writing for more and more boxes.

And this is the most difficult part: even the very talented and hard working The_Ripper can't really deliver on his own (the other two are useless!). And for that, only OpenShite have to be blamed, in my mind...

Abominable management of the support for their boxes so far!

Hence, do not expect much more than what you have already seen, in general terms, when we are talking AZbug HD...

Good luck to the developers and us- 'cause fook knows we need it with OpenShite!!!

GORSKI IS NEVER IN PEACE WITH AZBOX LOL! i think the rti and openrsi teams are doing their best to help azbox owners but i agree with you opensat is so mean to attribute support and provide more developpers! that back spot of azbox!

Many problems this image
No ftp only scp
No pass for ftp or unknown pass
Emus no not work on /etc
They work on /var/etc/ but if you reboot etc folder dissaperars
Channel list ti be loaded only via scp not by progs they do not connect the box
Good image but still many problems

Just one or two corrections: I connected via FileZilla Client without any problems many times. No problems with transfers etc.

Pass is the same for AZJp/JazUp or FTP etc. = azbox, unless you changed it...

OSCam module path is: /usr/bin

OSCam config: can't remember now... Install from the package lot, from the server and see where it goes...

Password was not azbox in my case but a random one , luckily it had online an password changer and with it made it azbox.
Biggest problem is the CCcam.cfg which never worked on /etc
On var/etc yes worked but on hard reset as i said above no more etc folder on var.
Connected with winscp but not in ftp mode only in scp nor in ssh

Does anyone have a skin glass16 hd running smoothly?
To me, it not introduces me extrainfobar, and configurations, does not accept changes in the infobar
