I have purchased a new Vu Duo 2 and I would like if someone could recommend me an image that is good for many sats via diseqc and allows you to run softcams in it

All of them allow you to do that.
The image thats right for you is a personal choice as one images feature and plugins may differ to another.
OpenATV is my favorite image.
@Ferret makes a valid point any E2 image will be compatible with the Duo2 and will provide you with everything you need including emulators.
OpenVix image has the emulator feed already configured in the image so just need downloading, but as said OpenATV is one of the better ones the reason why is because they update the Oscam and Oscam_EMU emulators they have within there feeds.
Just a heads up if using OpenATV from a fresh install you will need to install the softcam.feed.ipk as OpenATV does not come with any cams pre-installed

What a great choice to have.
Can anyone tell me what soft cam you can use for biss that does not rely on the sid as if you have two channels that use the same sid they cannot co exist in the same decoder. this info was told to me. apparently CCcam 2.30 relies on the sid pmt and the cw and if you have two channels even on different transponder that say use sid 0001 they will wipe each other out and you will get nothing.

i've installed the latest blackhole image with ccc2.3 and it works ok. box is a little complicated but will get use to it. love some of the feature that blackhole has.
I run my duo2 with openpli, and am quite satisfied. Tried cccam, oscam and others and it worked. I started with VTI and tried then blackhole and others. VTi was the best one right after installing with the defaults, but it seems to me that the others are better configurable.
Forgot to write that diseqc 1.1 works fine with 4x8 lnbs and cable per usb.

doing plenty of reading on this site as it has a wealth of information which is handy when you have such a complicated sat decoder. I got my satellite card working today on my computer so i'm getting there bit by bit
