Network Vu+ drive on pc

I made this post over on vu support, just wondered if you guys had any ideas as well.

I seem to be unable to see my vu hard drive from my pc since i installed vix. I used to have vti and pli on it and it showed up as bm750. Is there anyway to fix this on the vix image, ie like a plugin to download (i could not see a plugin)

I'm running Vix1.3 and the harddrive is under "My Network Places" on my PC (XP Pro). I haven't installed any extra plugins.

Yeah XP works ok but with Vix & blackhole ive never been able to see it on windows 7. Ive never gone chasing a fix because it easy enough to FTP in.

Same here, only happes with VIX, with other images all OK.

The problem is i normally download torrents, direct to my Vu hardrive (as it is far larger than my laptop). I can see my pc from the vu though.

I have fixed it with the help of delagroov over on vu support.

You need to edit samba.conf (Look in etc/samba/samba.conf) and change the workgroup to match your pc. Standard vista workgroup is WORKGROUP. Having done this it now shows up on my pc.
