For Manual download you have to use button Download now.
When testing
you must not forget that you have to make a restart after
each test, in order to create a new test.
To auto download from Interenet EPG server
it is not necessary CRON (standby)
because you can make in Standby EPG update.
For OPenTv Epg you have to config if you like commands used after EPG Refresh (standby,deepstandby)
