Do you mean just the inadyn.conf file ?

If so that goes in /etc

opps sorry what i want to mean in the inadyn file BTW can i make my vu uno update by itself the dns? i am using free dns and i am using vti emage

i asking some qoustions this vu for me is something new i use to use the dreambox but now i just changed it:thum:

What image do you have installed mate does it already have the inadyn plugin installed ?

With the inadyn plugin it will update your dns for you yes. There are other wasy to do this also. You can also do this in most routers enter your account details in the dyn section and should your isp IP change you router will update your dns account.

i am using vti emage there is no inadyn plugin

Ahh a image im not 100% with

On the plugins menu press the green button for it to update its list.

Now look through that lot and you should see a inadyn plugin to download.

why do dns update by box??

most routers can do better!


dyn section i found it as our friend ferret said
i have edimax router but to be onest i dont what to do exactly

Click on the DDNS tab mate what options you got there ?

This is where you setup yopur account on your router.

On the provider drop down box does it support the dns provider you use ? If so just fill in the details.
