duo stuck on starting

loaded cfe multiboot to my Vu+duo and now after a power cut the box tried to reboot and is stuck on starting.loads normally from usb or nfi file but wont reboot,is there a non boot image for duo or a way to do a factory reset.

Hi mate

The way to cure this mate is flashing via null modem cable and the VU + Util.

Pull out UDB stick and reflash your Vuo+ again without USB stik

doesent work.anyone that uses multiboot should be aware of the risks .

what I need is an image that doesent need a reboot so I can get into the box or a programme that I can implement using putty to get into the box to uninstall the multiboot.

vu fix

hi, I had same problem and my supplier came up with this after the box was returned to them and it worked.

Switch the box off, on the rear side.
choose in putty for serial connect, speed must be set to 115200 and choose you`re comport.
Put the box on, when you`re connection is oke, you wil see some text scrolling over the putty screen.
Now use the ctrl + c key to stop the booting.
copy the following line in the screen:

boot -z -elf flash0.kernel: 'rootfstype=jffs2 root=/dev/mtdblock0 rw mem=0x8000000 bcmrac=3`

The box now reboot from the flash, so watch you`re box.
Then open telnet with dcc and put in the following line.

flash_eraseall /dev/mtd5

and after that the following line

reboot -f

Then you`re box is running again.

It was the supplier who found and did the work after i returned the box, maybe he did not give me proper procedure. I did notice that it seemed to take longer to boot at the start but now it works ok. did you try flashing with original image first.

yes tried original and other images,but no good.Did you try the procedure before returning the box.

not booting

no it was all done by supplier, all I tried was disconnecting usb and hard drive, reflashing with original image and it was still not booting.
