dm800se tuner failed

goodmorning at all,
I have a dm800se clone brand new,but it shows me tuner failed in most of frequencies.I controled the lnb with vu+solo and the signal is ok,in dm800se only the frqeuencies of rai,rai premium etc.are working in dvb-s.I changed the image but the same also with gp3 posted from ramimaher.Can someone help me?

Hello mate what is your dish LNB configuration ?

Motor ? Multi LNB ?

Configure your Tuner setting and Disec if you have , Then sacn the sat again. I think you are using pre-install channel list

the lnb configuration is ok,because it works very well with vu+solo,dual 13'+16' and the signal on vu+solo is ok,but in dm800se only few channels like Rai frequencies are working.tuner bcm4505 and the green light inside is not pulsing.Brand new box but I think the tuner is faulty and is not working at all.

Well what i can tell you is any DMM box that is using a switch with multi lnb can be problematic.

The DMM range just do not get on with all make of switches its cover frequently on here and because your VU works make no difference to what works on a DMM box.

Not saying this is your problem but it an area id look at if i had your problem.

Just to confirm your point, I used various types but got good result with this inexpensive 1x10 type

I use spaun never had a problem, some monoblocks just wont work either due to switches inside them the DMM just refuses to work with.

Its not about this price you pay for a switch its if the picky DMM likes it

I used another dm800 hd pvr and all is ok with the monoblock ,I mean with the same which work vu+solo and don't work dm800SE, strange things,never happen before.but I think tuner is gone

Have you tried manual scans on those 2 sat if that does not clear the problem, you've solved it yourself then by process of elimination your tuner is toast.

yes ferret,I tried also the manual scan,blind scan and all.only these channels of rai....and some channels of eutelsat,couple of 10 channels.I have to change the tuner.

Before changing your tuner, try connecting ypor box to the dish directly (without a switch).
If it works, it may be the switch.

Back to the Issue of Tune Failed.
Everything was runing smoothly over the past year or 2 on my DM800se.
Then the Tune Failed message started to show up when chnging chnnels beween satellites.
When on the on the same satellite, the channels show up fine but when they are on another satellite, they tuner dos not lock.
If I go to setup menu and tuner configuration, then back to the same channel, it shows up.
Changed the Diseq switch and the power supply but the problem is still there.
So it is most likly to be the tuner.

Could someone please remind me of which component needs chcking on the tuner or the motherboard.

I have seen this problem mentioned on various sites but cannot remember the solution.

Thanks for your reply my friend.
The tuner is BCM4505 and was working fine until this problem came up.
I wonder if the sultion of adding a capacitor will solve the problem.

The problem was from the tuner.
A new tuner solved the problem.
