DM8000 reboot on trying to play DVD

I am using Gemini2 ver. 4.4 with a Pioneer DVD drive type DVR-TD08 with mixed success.
When trying to play DVDs i have had responses from the DM8000 ranging from not even recognising a DVD unit being present up to playing a DVD-R perfectly.
The most frequent response is 'killed by signal 6' followed by a reboot.

Can anyone help please?

I recommend trying another groups image mate!

Say the Nabilo image gave you the same problems then you could conclude it may be the Pioneer DVD drive.

If Nabilo works with your pioneer then it was the Gemini image.

Has you installed the latest 8000 drivers for here
