DM800 wont flash

I`m a bit further on but still not working.

I tried the new null modem cable and the latest Dreamup (v1.3.3.4) and it seemed to detect the box but displayed the message "is not a valid integer value". the box then froze until unplugged and restarted.

I tried the browser method again. Finally got the firmware update page by putting the IP into the browser when the box was in the "stop" mode (i had previously let the box boot up, that is why it displayed the Enigma2 web interface page).

However when I selected the nfi file and hit return the browser tried to send it for a minute or two before displaying the "cannot display webpage" screen. I assume that there should be a screen saying "update completed" or something?

did you ever sort that flashing problem via web interface, because i have the same problem, i even changed the dreambox to a static ip bypassing dhcp and it still doesnt work...

Hi mate

You will need to change you static ip on your 800. In network settings tick DHCP as for the upgrade page the 800 has to be in DHCP mode, after selecting DHCP reboot your 800 fully then place into standby.

Pull the power from th rear of the 800 and hold down the standby button on the front of the 800, now reapply power.

You should see the IP DHCP has given you on the 800s display. Enter this into your browser and you should get the firmware update page.

Can't reflash

A old thread, but relevant, my Dm800 stopped loading firmware, so went to re-flash it, I goes into flash mode with ip address showing, and on my browser firmware screen showing, as normal I select a new image, click flash and nothing, even after a long time, originally used firefox, then chrome and Edge, and tried my laptop too, so I'm guessing the problem is with the box. Anyone know what this is? Also the red light on front panel flashes intermittently.

Try another PSU mate see if that help the flickering red light could be a weak PSU

I did try another PSU, but still same, it's not a flickering light, just flashes on and off.
