DM800 inline amp problem

i have a DM800 connected to a 4 way DiseqC switch 28/19/16/13 east
all sats switch ok all SD work fine
but about 5 HD channels glitch on 28 east

so i put in a 20db inline amp HD channels now fine no glitch
all channels on 28/19/16/ fine

now i get no signal on most of 13 east SD and HD

so i take amp off
all channels on all sats fine apart from the 5 HD channels that glitch on 28 east

and with inline amp signal on all sats goes lower not higher

amp is on the right way

why am i losing 13 east with a inline amp
without amp i get it
any help appreciated

Hi mate

That is the problem i guess using those amp to correct the Discovery HD problem. Maybe you could try a amp with a lower DB rating say 10db or depending on your tuner model try the capacitor fix.

if its any consolation i have the same problem. only with a motorised setup,when the inline amp is connected the box will not find any other sats. take amp off and its no problem. i'm going to try a different image with more upto date drivers to see if it helps,if not maybe an original tuner is the answer.

a better lnb could be a solution too! and when i say a better lnb,i dont mean an lnb which says 0.2 or 0.1 db,but i mean a really good lnb.

An LNB will not cure the problem with the 28HD channels, the capacitor fix or a rev K or L tuner will, or as mentioned a original tuner.

Do you know what revision your tuner is mate? To my knowledge is was the earlier clones that had this issue and new one all same to have the later tuners.

inverto idl-40us.
it is the only lnb that i saw in my receiver,frequencies which i haven't with others.of course this is just personal opinion and af course there are a lot of good lnbs.

the amp that was giving me problems was a
Gecen In-line Amp 20Db
pile o crap

change to this one
