Bit Confused!

Hi Again,
Bit confused here fellers.......I have a usb stick in the rear of my Techno, which I would like to install the latest UR image, using FWPro.

When used with the Dream DM7000, I simply selected the USB, and installed the image to there, I have tried this with the latest FWPro, (which is supposed to be compatable with the TM-600) but it reports that it is the wrong image? what am I doing wrong?

Also, VERY IMPORTANT! if I use the factory software, ie Technomates Loader, will this overwrite all my sats in flash?

I suppose what I am trying to say, is - can the T Loader, Direct the install of the "UR" image to the usb, to work with Multiboot?

Please help if you can, cause I am sick of watching BBC World! don't seem to be getting any further!

Flashwizard multibooting from USB or any other media for that matter is not supported.

Image must be installed in to the 600 flash.

Here is a guide to do this with null modem cable.

1. Download TM control center and extract it to a folder.

2. Download the latest image of your choice.

3. Start TMCC with the TechnomateCenter.exe

4. Click on the serial tab.

5. Top option set the comport to the one you have your null modem cable connected to usually com1.

6. Now click the file button and select the unrared image you downloaded earlier.

7. Now in front of your TV switch the power OFF on your TM.

8. Press in and hold the UP ^ button and then turn the power back on youll see a setup screen in front of you.

9. Press the up button for serial update then the right > button and then the ok button. This will start the image upload. Wait till it confirms the process is done.

10. Now turn off the power leave it for a min and then turn it back on.

At this point it will go through the standard setup procedure if you need help give us a shout.

Bugger......ah well, I've nowt better to do (ha ha)

Thanks very much for your replay m8, I just didn't want to have to re-scan all the sats again that's all.........

Is there any way around this, or is it "doing it all again"

You will always need to scan one sat as part of the image setup but after that you can re apply settings you have backed up.

Use this guide and Dreamset, but where it states write setting click read and nominate a folder to store them in.

After flashing the image just return the settings as per the guide.
