Hi guys,I’d like your opinion about which is the best quality satellite dish at 1,5m for getting the best signal you can get?

Thanks for the answers!I want to change my 1.5 dish which is motorised for a better quality one…I want a better one with good quality to help me receive better feeds that can’t see now or have better signal!I live in Greece!

With the motorized setup, i can receive most feeds from 15w to 52e.. 30w is difficult, also no signal on 28.2E feeds, 23.5 E is also difficult.
I want to setup also one more dish for 100.5 c band but not sure if i can receive those?
100.5 East is definitely receivable from Cyprus
With a clear view to the horizon at the dish location it might be possible from Rhodes.
Dishpointer gives the Elevation of 100.5E as 5.5 degrees from Rhodes Town, that should make reception possible.
Anything less than 10 degrees above the horizon can be an issue with ground noise. Possible. A nice 4.2m solid would be useful.
More information needed your location sat postion of those feedsHello,
I have a question. Now I have a 100cm and sometimes i take feed in limit like 6db.
If I take a 120cm I can take those feeds around 8db ?
Thank you
Maybe, but not sure. Keep in mind that you must double dish diameter to gain 3dB. So you need 2m to reach 9dB, so not sure that you have the expected gain moving from 1m to 1.2m.Hello,

I used your same dish until two years ago. It was not branded Famaval but it was exactly the same.I am located in Greece atm, I have a famaval prime focus 2.4 plus extension wings, which makes it over 3m.

Yes, but this is in voltage terms. In terms of SNR you will never gain 6dB between 1m and 2m.Incorrect.
Double the dish size gives 6dB based on the Log formula, this calculation also works in the field as an approximate guide.
=20*(LOG(dish2/dish1))
