best image with postioner help for friend

hi , any advice on a good image for to use with motor /postioner .

seems to be a painful task for me .

personly i have a 36v postioner but only use with tm upstairs .

but have a dual lnb which feeds me dm 800 clone downstairs for which i dont use with postioner.



problem being im in 2 minds if i should just use a tm to control dish then loop into dm 800 clone for me friend.:thum:

as i am trying to set up his new reciever with h to h motor at the moment ..

a pain in the bum the aint great and user friendly i have noticed ..


any help on setting experince of good images would be brill if possible many thanks ...

thanks i will give a go ..people with just a h to h motor.

i read of people having probs etc ..is this normal and if so do the new images work better .

also would it be a good idea to download vanibal s chanels in the extensions of the image ..instaed of scanning in new ones..

Unless your pole/motor/dish is perfectly aligned to the arc, use diseqc 1.2 to set up the motor. USALS may be great in theory but you can't tweak the individual sat positions like you can with 1.2.
That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.:eek:

hi mate ..im one of the lucky ones to have a horizon meter .

im just setting up off my dish first which has acuator and 36 v postioner .

and works fine even the tm 500 can work easy with the postioner .

say i allign to thor using postioner to start .
i know its thor because the metre tells me lol.

i go to scan its scans nowt ..it should really i then think is this an active tp etc.

just it seemed s a good idea to star from thor then start moving and storing postions .

merlin image is good i use it downstairs ..but i just going to follow guide that brummie done next ..cheers:thum:
