Id say at this Moment the DM800SE is the best for the price.

Faster cpu then the older 800 on par with the 8000, 2 card readers, colour front display, quiet internal fan.

So, old DM is still selling some copies outside Germany

I just bought an original DM8000HD and must say it is well over priced. I wish i had gone for the DM800se.

I have a genuine DM800se and it costs about 400,00 E.

I buy a VU+Uno which has not clones (yet).It costs 299,00 E

In my opinion this Vu+uno is much better than the DM800se

With VTI image you have almost everything

DM800se Flash=64Kb VU+uno Flash= 128KB

DM800se Ram= 2..KB VU+uno Ram= 512KB.

You can have more plugins and Skins in the vu+

To flash is simple. With a pen and the rest with

DREAMBOX DCC. No need to have another CCC.

With BH you can have MEOBOOT....

The only think worst is that you have less images

to lownload.

Dm800SE HD i have as i replaced my Dm800HD with it some months ago , great box Edg nemisis 2.5 image running fine but i hate the most recent SVNr107(r5) image as it green screen crash every time i try access pauli neutrino keymap so i went back to SVN105(R4) and now all okay ,
such a shame EDG Nemisis Team fail to fix this bug and fail to include pauli neutrino keymap plugin with thier images ???
but on the plus side ..

2 Card slots and 2 Usb slots which allows for USB pen to update 7 day EPG
400 MHz Processor
SATA & eSATA support for 2.5" hard drive

64mb flash, 256mb RAM ( not sure where above poster getting his False not accurate specs from ?? , lol's !! )

Colour OLED display, HDMI
videotext, DiSEqC, Skin support
AC-3, 1 x Scart, Universal mains PSU and full size remote handset

And a vast choice of images included is Genuine Dreambox plugin .

DM800SE HD would be my advise and if poss DM7020HD but that will cost 200 Euro more than Dm800SE HD .
also Stay far away from clones despite what others may suggest its just asking for trouble .

Nobody is talking about getting clones here. I would learn what competitors are offering first, before asking people to buy an overpriced or less-capable hardware, people call Dreambox

Times have changed now, fortunately for better!

im not dissagree with you entirely ..but ..Dreambox is like a Ferrari and the rest ..well.. Fiat Punto comes to mind [ ie. Fix it again today ] and with little support i wud say the rest are overpriced and i never once have regretted buying a genuine dreambox and untill something better comes along there really is nothing better than a dreambox especially the Dm800SE HD .. it is what it is m8 altho' i agree other boxes do have advantages but not with support which is the key factor at the end of the day .

Ferrari, Fiat, ok but its the opposite now. And yes something better has come along. As I said before you don't have the right knowledge about the other boxes, let alone their level of support.
Every dreambox below dm7025 or dm8000 would not be a wise choice now. And the two above mentioned are well over-over priced for what they do. What they call "better support" is a myth now.
