Need to buy a new box and it must be HD. It will mainly used to watch Russian Tv and S*y. It must have DiSEqC 1.2 or 1.3 that works as her indoors needs to be able to use it. I have read so many different posts about so many different boxes I am now more undecided than when I started. Azbox good hardware but buggy but I do like the multimedia side of this box, Cuberevo/Ipbox good harware? I seem to read about more problems with these boxes, Coolstream looks to have the best hardware of them all but not sure about software, DB I think to expensive and so many opions that the hardware is very poor and that they get very hot but have the best software. I would like to hear from people who have any of these boxes and are happy with them and are watching s*y reliably or any other sugestions.

i have a dm8000, a dm800, a qbox hd and an azbox premium. the qbox hd has problems with the wireless card and i´m still trying to sort this out with the supplier so i can´t comment on how good this box is, but it looks interesting. the azbox has the potential to be really good but is still VERY beta. it can only be used as a client and the one i have is one of the earliest with the ci slot problem and no support for twin tuners - i´m hoping opensat will exchange it for a premium plus however i´m still waiting to hear from them...... if you decide for an azbox then wait until the azbox premium plus is available cos at least then the hardware problems should be sorted. that leaves the dm8000 and the dm800. i bought he dm8000 because i wanted a dependable server and in this role it is great. it´s reliable, easy to use/set up, doesn´t get too hot, has excellent picture quality and, disregarding the price, is simply the best box on the market - go for it if you can. i bought the dm800 cos i was p*ssed off the the qbox and azbox. the dm800 has good picture quality, is easy to set up and although it has less technical features than the 8000, is a really good client. don´t listen to what people say about the quality of the dm hardware - the 8000 and the 800 are from a german company and they don´t compromise on quality. there is no comparison with the dm´s and the others. hold them in your hands and the dm´s ooze quality.

It all comes down to what exactly you need from the box. Like if you just want to watch sat tv, or you want to play with the box more and with the plugins, or you want to watch some tv and have multimedia device etc.
I can just say if I had no receiver atm and wanted to buy one I'd probably have to decide between:
Coolstream, dm800 clone or VU+ duo.

For me due to the support it would be the DM800 clone.

Agree with Rocknroll on the VU+ Duo though as with the VTI image in the flash you can then use BA to multiboot DM8000 image.

Which should be fun but not necessarily plug n play.
