I noticed recently that Dreambox Android app allows to play 4:2:2 feeds without any problems, so it should be possible to do this using IPTV streaming loopback on TV but unfortunatly it does not work on my Dreambox Two UHD. You can check this way on your boxes

Dreambox Android does not use the internal enigma player, so it also remains 4:2:2 , It is possible to use Kodi player in Enigma, but it has some limitations.

@EnoSat yep, but it's curious that vlc uses lots of cpu to deal with 4:2:2 and app uses low resources to do the same.

Libreelec is an OS that basically runs Kodi and its addons are available in its repositories. How it works is in the first post of the topic. I have an Octagon SF8008 and when I need to see 4:2:2 feeds I stream to the Rpi5 via the Enigma2 addon that runs on Libreelec OS, the system is public, just search on Google.

I confirm that Enigma2 + AppleTV using VLC is the best option to avoid freezing or lagging.. this match works perfectly!

The combination of E2+Apple TV 4k also requires a plugin called Vuplus TV, this is downloaded from the Apple appstore, you configure it in the same way you configure the webif and that's it, you can tune your channels that you can distribute in favorite folders.

Or you can open VLC on AppleTv and copy the link of the channel stream (4:2:2) from webif and paste it there!

The implementation of this Apple TV 4K device should provide more ways to view 4:2:2 events, but for me it's much easier through that app, without doing anything more than scanning the Enigma 4K when it's a feed.

If it must be 4K and a fast processor like A2843 , remember that the Apple Tv will do the hard work.

The A1469 is not 4k, buy a 4k, the difference in cost should not be much, mine I bought it in an auction on e-bay arrived in good condition and low price.

i use SFVIP player to play 4.2.2 feeds on my PC then use HDMI output to tv. i found vlc on my PC was very laggy but SFVIP player is flawless

Only the AZbox Premium Plus can handle feeds in 4:2:2
But only H264 not H265 and also no 16APSK or multistream.

4:2:2 is only working on a AZbox Premium Plus.
