One of the ways of processing 4:2:2 published on one unnamed forum. The quality of processing, however, depends on the hardware and software capabilities of the receiver.

4:2:2 Feeds ok (Feedhunting) with Enigma2

Installation via Telnet:
opkg install kodi-addon-pvr-vuplus
install pvr client

Start Kodi and enter the receiver IP address in the E2 client.

the cheap way to see 4:2:2 only from pc
than connect to tv with hdmi cable or wi-fi hdmi( if no way to use cable)
but i recommended video upscaling hdmi 1080p to 4k hdr10 ( cost 40-80 euro) becouse bitrate more as sky uhd
i mean feed with 14400 symbol rate have 32.091 Mbit/Sec

sky uhd have Bitrate Mb/24 max

Most enigma 2 boxes cannot handle 4.2.2 but you can stream from the E2 box to a laptop and watch it through vlc player.

kodi on e2 will use software so will run out of processing power once the bitrate reaches a certain level, deinterlacing can also be an issue.

Are you sure about this? Have you tested this method before? Can we stream 4:2:2 to the PC and watch it with VLC without any lag or issues?

Yes tested it at my home. Only time is stumbled was when I saw multiple camera angles all within one stream. Try it with your current set up. My laptop is an i5 with a 1050 graphic card.

For me the best combo is enigma2 + apple tv. Within VLC on Apple TV !

I confirm that Enigma2 + AppleTV using VLC is the best option to avoid freezing or lagging.. this match works perfectly!

The Apple TV processor is fast (bionic 15) and this makes it possible to watch 4:2:2 without problems. So the combination Enigma2 4k+Appletv 4k is the best and most economical solution so far.

With Rpi5 it also works well using Libreelec and E2 addons.
