Like ourselves in life, sometimes we are up and sometimes we are down but like the servers, we usually bounce back. Enjoy things whilst we can.But in all this up/down is one big problem this package no work 24h/365 days.
You will be happy if you will be have iptv or cs from other spurece and he no will be work alvays ?
I shall investigate that and do an experimental record after changing that setting. The box APD (auto power down) probably kicked in and put your box into standby
I think I will set another recording for 3.5 hours without changing the auto shutdown settings and see what happens. At least that will rule out the possibility of human error, then I will adjust the auto shutdown settings and do another 3.5 hour record. There is a limit of 4 hrs on recording. But agree with smithysmudger comment.
Hi @dog-man,I programmed a recording on my Viark Sat 4K.
I have done lots of recordings, so know how to do it.
This recording was going to be around 3.5 hours long.
It didn't record. I can't work out what could have gone wrong. It is always possible that I didn't properly set the recording details, but having made recordings many times, I think this is unlikely.
There is plenty of space on the drive for the recording.
I am wondering if there is a limit on how long a recording can be.
Does anyone have any ideas why the recording could have failed, apart from possible user error?
Useful to know.Hi @dog-man,
I have a Viark Sat 4k and used it this weekend to record the NFL (big fan). I successfully recorded a full six (6) hrs of
programming on 9E unbroken.
You could try the following steps...
1. Press the "media" button on your remote. This will bring up the USB menu.
2. Then press the Blue "PVR Setting" button. This will bring up the PVR Setting menu.
3. Then check your values for Record Time, Auto Timeshift and the Timeshift buffer size.
4. Ensure that your Record Time is set to greater than 240 (4hrs) and it should allow you to record for longer.
I have my record time set to 600 (10hrs). This allows me to record multiple footy, NFL, sports games if we are out.
It also helps when we want to record two or three movies back to back.
I have my auto timeshift set to "OFF" and my timeshift buffer set to "OFF". Not that bothered about it and found
it caused a few issues with my recordings.
Good luck and let us know if this helps.
NFL clears on 9E with Sports and Sports 2.Useful to know.
It was an NFL game that I tried to record. Sadly of course, NFL is not currently clearing.
19.2e nfl muxJust checked. They are.
Woo Hooo. I can set a recording.
It's still clearing and was on the weekend too. They showed all the Super Wildcard NFL playoff games on it.I just noticed that sly.main event is showing it, so if that is still clearing, and I believe it is, I will record that.
I noted a strange APD behaviour in my Viark Sat 4K.The box APD (auto power down) probably kicked in and put your box into standby
IT Was already Discussed on this thread topic already and the correct answer was given , But i guess you just did not bother to look or find the answer for yourself ??I noted a strange APD behaviour in my Viark Sat 4K.
Although I totally deactivated the APD function (it is OFF), the box switches off on itself after about 7.5 hours.
If I remember, the longest APD position is 3 hours, so I don't understand why Viark works as a longer APD would be there. Any idea?
I did this, and I now have a recording to watch at my leisure.Hi @dog-man,

e2 could never be inferior its done the years and still here the viark is just like the innovation back in 2007 good but no choice of providerI think that at present, with the closure of some packages, e2 is no longer inferior to forever
