Wifi Dongle issue encryption

Hi,

Have just started setting up a wireless dongle on my 800hd can get it all working fine, but as soon as I add the encryption all stop working. Know I cant use wep, but have been trying with wpa and wpa2 but either seem to work.

Any help would be grateful

Hi..If its working without encryption that means your modem/router is not secured

Hi the router is secured and when it is the dongle does not work but if I remove the security the dongle works fine once I remove my password but with the security on and password in the box I have no connection. I know the passwords correct.

I think i got your first thread wrong...please correct me.
are you using a usb wireless if so?.
have you tried the usb on your pc/laptop in secure mode..does the internet work?..
I have DM800hdse and this how i did..install the usb in the back of DM then reboot then go to Menu+system+network there is an option to configure the WLAN...make sure to enter the correct ip add netmask and gateway leave user interface,DHCP on(yes both)..
by the way what is the make of usb wireless are you using?
