What type of USB cable do I need?

I've just bought a Cuberevo Twin HD and I'm trying to use Flash Tools to update the firmware. I've tried connecting from my PC to the stb using a USB cable (like a printer cable) to the USB Client socket (9) using an extention USB cable.

Do I need to use the other USB socket (USB Host) with a USB cable with flat connectors at each end?

I updated using the software using the 'Network Mode' but the version available is R9207 dated 5th sept 2008. That was painless enough, it is a pitty they don't keep it more up to date.

Thank you. It must be as I am trying to use a USB extension cable that I'm not having any joy. I'll have to see if I can buy a longer single cable.

Just to confirm, it was the extension cable. I connected a single longer cable and all worked fine. Updated the uboot and program to latest version. Cheers again!

i dont think you have the problem with the extansions...I'm using them from day one no problems....
